DALLAS -- The Mavericks are showing the Spurs what depth is all about. The Dallas bench has an 18-4 scoring edge and as a whole Dallas is the quicker team that's shooting a heck of a lot better.

The Mavs can't buy a 3-ball, but the Spurs can't buy anything.

Dirk Nowitzki ended the half with a pretty step-back jumper over DeJuan Blair, but Nowitzki has just four points, another positive sign for the Mavs, who are being led by Vince Carter's 14 points.

The Mavs shot 59.1 percent in the second quarter and have held San Antonio to 18 and 22 points in first two quarters, respectively.

Tim Duncan leads the Spurs with 10 points.
