DALLAS – Jason Kidd said he feels “a lot better,” but there still isn’t a timetable for his return from a strained right calf.
Kidd will miss at least the next two games. The Mavericks’ medical staff will re-evaluate him at some point next week, although Kidd said he isn’t sure if it will be before the trip to Denver to play the Nuggets on Wednesday night.
“I feel a lot better, so we’ll see over the weekend what happens,” Kidd said. “I’m just riding the bike and letting the calf heal, but honestly, I feel great. We’re going to start picking things up here running on a treadmill this weekend.”
Added Rick Carlisle: “He’s getting closer, but he’s not close yet.”
