Lamar Odom headed to Frisco first?
|ESPN NBA analyst Marc Stein on why Lamar Odom is still important to the Mavs and why he still needs time to get back into basketball shape. |
Earlier Thursday, the team put out an announcement that Odom would not join the Mavs in New Orleans on Friday and planned another update Saturday.
What a bizarre week it's been. Odom will miss his fourth consecutive game since taking leave of the team last Wednesday before the Mavs played his old team, the Lakers. He left to tend to his father, who was ill. But then Odom doesn't return, rumors spiral that he wants buyout and now the 13-year vet is headed to the D-League.
