Sizing up Mavericks' new-look rotation
*The Mavs agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal with center Chris Kaman.
*The Mavs decided to use the amnesty clause on Brendan Haywood, who has three guaranteed seasons worth $27.2 million on his contract.
*The Mavs agreed to a sign-and-trade deal to send backup center Ian Mahinmi to the Pacers for point guard Darren Collison and shooting guard Dahntay Jones.
The Mavs aren’t done. They’re prepared to make a strong bid for Elton Brand in the waiver process. There is also a distinct possibility that they will re-sign guard Delonte West to a relatively inexpensive one-year deal. Assuming those additions are made, here’s a look at the Mavs’ rotation next season.
Point guard: Darren Collison, Delonte West, Rodrigue Beaubois, Jared Cunningham, Dominique Jones.
Shooting guard: Vince Carter, Dahntay Jones, West, Beaubois, Cunningham, Jones.
Small forward: Shawn Marion, Carter, Jae Crowder.
Power forward: Dirk Nowitzki, Elton Brand, Marion.
Center: Chris Kaman, Brand, Brandan Wright, Bernard James.
