LOS ANGELES -- Center Chris Kaman joined the Mavericks on the season-opening road trip, but he won't be suiting up in either game.
Coach Rick Carlisle confirmed after Tuesday's shootaround that Kaman, who had already been ruled out for the opener against the Lakers, also would not be available for Wednesday's game in Utah.
Kaman has been sidelined since straining his right calf Oct. 17. He began participating in noncontact drills Sunday, but he hasn't been through a full practice since the injury.
Saturday night's home opener against the Bobcats is the earliest Kaman, who has missed 152 games over the previous five seasons due to a variety of injuries, could make his Mavs debut.
