DALLAS – Mavericks leading scorer O.J. Mayo is limping a little as the team prepares for a road back-to-back.

Mayo turned his left ankle when he landed on a teammate’s foot during Monday’s practice. He was held out of some drills in Monday’s practice, but he said he will be ready to start Tuesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers.

“I’m good to go, man,” Mayo said after beating Rodrigue Beaubois in a post-practice shooting game. “Just a little twist yesterday in practice. It’s a little sore, but I’ll be ready to go tomorrow.”

Mayo, the NBA’s eighth-leading scorer at 21.5 points per game, has been durable throughout his career. He played every game in three of his four seasons in Memphis and didn’t sit out any games this preseason after suffering a significant cut to his shooting hand when he slipped and fell down stairs in Barcelona.
