DALLAS -- Forward Shawn Marion will join the Mavericks for their three-game road trip.
His playing status has yet to be determined, however.
Marion, who has missed the last two games with a strained groin, participated in Tuesday's light practice. It is possible that he could play Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics.
"I think we're making some progress," coach Rick Carlisle said. "There are positive signs, but there are no decisions yet."
Guard Dominique Jones, who missed Monday's game due to an illness, also practiced Tuesday.
