DALLAS -- Mavericks forward Shawn Marion didn’t practice Monday because of a sprained right ankle. His status for Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers is to be determined.

“He rode the bike today,” said coach Rick Carlisle, who called Marion's injury a "small consideration" in the decision to recall Ricky Ledo from the D-League. “We’ll see how he’s doing tomorrow.”

Marion, who wasn’t available for comment Monday because he needed to get treatment, said Sunday night that he injured the ankle on the second play of the loss to the New York Knicks. He limped noticeably as he left the court and winced as he put his right shoe on in the locker room.

After averaging 18.8 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 62.3 percent from the floor in the previous four games, Marion scored only two points on 1-of-6 shooting and grabbed four rebounds against the Knicks.
