DALLAS -- Mavericks rookie point guard Shane Larkin will not return after spraining his right ankle in the third quarter of Saturday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

That leaves fellow rookie Gal Mekel as the only healthy backup point guard behind Jose Calderon.

Larkin said after the game that he hopes he will be available to play Monday against the Magic.

"It's just a sprain," Larkin said. "I'll come in and get treatment tomorrow and hopefully will be good after that."
