Dirk Nowitzki's rubber ankles are getting another test.
Nowitzki left Tuesday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats early in the second quarter after twisting his left ankle. The injury occurred when Bobcats forward Josh McRoberts accidentally stepped on Nowitzki's foot while driving on the baseline.
The team announced that Nowitzki suffered a sprained left ankle and is questionable to return to the game.
Nowitzki has returned quickly from several ankle sprains during his career. He didn't miss any games after spraining his ankle against the Washington Wizards earlier this season, checking back into that game minutes later.
