Mavs let Bulls back in it
By Tim MacMahon
DALLAS -- This probably won't be enough of a blowout to impress John Hollinger's computer.
The Mavs have led by as many as 25 points, but they haven't stepped on Chicago's throat. The Bulls briefly trimmed the lead to eight midway through the fourth quarter when Kimball High product Acie Law (16 points) went baseline for a reverse layup.
"Get Barea out of the game!" a fan hollered at Rick Carlisle after watching that display of sorry defense.
Carlisle seems determined to let Jason Kidd keep watching from the bench. And he apparently doesn't trust Rodrigue Beaubois enough to let him run the point down the stretch, so Barea will stay out there for closing time.
UPDATE: It's a seven-point game after Brad Miller's and-1 turnaround. The Bulls have scored on 11 of 12 possessions in the fourth quarter.
