Mark Cuban's BCS plan drowns inbox
By Jeff Caplan
DALLAS -- BCS executive director Bill Hancock isn't the only one reacting to Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban's idea to use his money to bring a playoff system to college football.
Cuban said his inbox has been overflowing with responses since he outlined early stages of a playoff plan he's been mulling recently. He called the BCS an an "inefficient business where there's obviously a better way."
He said he's received emails from "everyone you'd expect."
"Athletic directors, all kinds of people," Cuban said, adding what most were writing: "How can I help? Can I get a job? Here's my idea I've been working on for three years."
So, were any university presidents or conference commissioners among the encouraging emails?
