Dalembert out with strained shoulder

By Tim MacMahon

Mavericks center Samuel Dalembert suffered a left shoulder strain early in the third quarter of Monday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The team announced minutes later that Dalembert would not return to the game.

Dalembert injured the shoulder while attempting to block a shot. He immediately went to the locker room along with an athletic trainer for further evaluation.

Dalembert, who has started 29 games for the Mavs, entered the game averaging 6.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
