Short notice, but tonight FC Dallas is holding a charity player auction in Frisco called the Cocktails and Cleats Foundation fundraiser. Various FC Dallas players are up for auction, for example a martial arts/self defense lesson with head coach and 10th degree black belt Schellas Hyndman or a golf foursome with keepers Kevin Hartman and Chris Seitz.

BACKGROUND: Want a professional soccer player to coach your child’s next practice? How about a VIP trip to the Dallas Zoo with a couple of professional athletes in your entourage? The FC Dallas Foundation is auctioning off a variety of fun experiences involving the team at its inaugural Cocktails and Cleats event.
Among the items up for bid are a martial arts/self defense lesson with head coach and 10th degree black belt Schellas Hyndman, luxury suites at Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks games and a golf foursome with keepers Kevin Hartman and Chris Seitz.
Fan favorites Brek Shea and Eric Avila will accompany the child of one lucky bidder to his/her school’s show and tell, and take a VIP cart tour of the Dallas Zoo with another. For a little more culture, attendees can try bidding on Greek dinner and dancing with George John.
All proceeds from Cocktails and Cleats will benefit the FC Dallas Foundation, the charitable arm of FC Dallas and Pizza Hut Park. The Foundation strives to positively impact the health and well-being of disadvantaged youth through the sport of soccer. The foundation is focused on providing scholarships to future student athletes, promoting healthy child initiatives and providing program funding for disadvantaged youth.
