FRISCO, Texas -- Andres Lemus scored early and Fullerton keeper Keith Murphy was stellar in beating Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 in the U15 Dallas Cup championship Saturday at FC Dallas Stadium.

"It's an amazing feeling for all of us, back in Fullerton -- we did it for our home," Murphy said.

Fullerton was aggressive in the midfield early, and it paid off.

Lemus headed in a goal off a rebound in the 17th minute to put Fullerton up 1-0.

Murphy may have been the man of the match, though. The youngster made a save from the left side off a breakaway in the 29th minute, and when the rebound went straight back to an Eintracht player with a wide open shot from just a few yards, Murphy dove back to the right to make another brilliant save.

It wasn't his first big performance here, either. He helped the club win last year's championship as part of the U14 squad.

"This environment, it gets me going," Murphy said. "I get pumped up and ready to play."

He made another save off a Janis Häuser hard strike in the 38th minute to keep the slate clean at half.

Just after halftime, Fullerton's Amirgy Pineda padded the lead with a bent strike to the upper-right corner of the goal from a free kick just outside the box in the 41st minute.

In the 50th minute, Murphy added to his impressive day with a charging kick save on an open breakaway.

The Fullerton defense kept the slate clean until the 78th minute when Leon Montalvo finally got one past Murphy with a header off a corner kick, but it was too late.

The quick back line of Fullerton kept the aggressive German side from equalizing.

"Right after the win, [the late goal] didn't really matter to me," Murphy said. "I would have taken it back if I could, but there wasn't much I could do about it."

American sides won all three championship games Saturday.

U14: Early goal leads Sunrise Elite to Dallas Cup championship

Sunrise Elite had plenty of scoring opportunities but only needed one to take home the U14 Dallas Cup championship Saturday.

Emmanuel Perez kicked off scoring in the 10th minute for Sunrise Elite. Perez ripped a free kick from just outside the box that soared over the keeper to take a 1-0 lead.

Head coach Pitu Alvarez said Perez was the guy he had in mind the whole time.

"I just told him to take a hard shot toward the front of the goal, and it worked out," Alvarez said.

It was Alvarez's first Dallas Cup championship.

Arsenal FC never really threatened, but clamped down on defense to keep the match close.

U13: United FC Gold edges defending champion Nomads Academy

Hugo Espindola doesn't even have his learner's permit to drive, and he has already made history for his club.

Espindola's 28th-minute goal was the difference as the Gold squad won the first Dallas Cup championship in United FC history Saturday at FC Dallas Stadium. In fact, this is the first time a United FC team made it out of group stage.

The young footballer bent a corner kick right between the posts amid a scramble for the only goal in United FC Gold's 1-0 win over Nomads Academy.

"It was so sick," Espindola said as his team celebrated. "I feel great to score it right now -- that it was the game-winning goal. I feel so proud of my team."

The San Juan Capistrano, California club's defense was stellar throughout the match. Actually, it was nearly perfect the whole tournament. They outscored their opponents 15-1 in the Dallas Cup, surrendering their only goal in a 3-1 semifinal win over England's Alexandra Crewe.

Head coach Bryan Wallace said it's not any one part of the team, but the whole team's defense that lifted them to the championship.

"It allows us to win the ball closer up to the opponent's goal, and a shorter distance to score a goal." Wallace said.

Nomads Academy had their best chance when Ernesto Espinaza took a penalty kick in the 21st minute. His strike beat the keeper, but hit the left post.
