After spending several weeks doing rehab out in Los Angeles, 2010 MLS MVP David Ferreira returned to Frisco last week and has been doing rehab at FC Dallas Stadium. The veteran Colombian playmaker has now missed over a year after suffering an ankle injury at Vancouver last April and an Achilles injury late in preseason.

Ferreira underwent surgery in April, which should put his return for somewhere in June. Here’s more on how “El Torito” is progressing from FCD head coach Schellas Hyndman:

“He’s back,” Hyndman said after training Monday. “He came back early last week. He’s been getting his treatment here, his rehab here, so I think we’re getting the things done we need to get done.”
