FC Dallas has loaned Generation adidas striker Peri Marosevic to the Austin Aztex of the USL/NASL. The Aztex currently sit atop the USL standings with 24 points. While this move is undoubtedly intended to get Marosevic playing time, Aztex strikers Edward Johnson and Jamie Watson currently sit 2nd and tied for 3rd in USL goal scoring.
Given the lack of PT available to Marosevic in Dallas, loaning him to a USL/NASL side makes perfect sense. This is a win-win for both player and club. If Marosevic sees the field in Austin that is.

FC DALLAS LOANS FORWARD PERI MAROSEVIC TO AUSTIN AZTEX
Second-year striker will join USSF Division 2 squad from June 15 to July 4
FRISCO, Texas (June 15, 2010) – FC Dallas is sending second-year forward Peri Marosevic on loan to the USSF Division 2 Austin Aztex, the team announced today.
FC Dallas selected Marosevic fifth overall (first round) in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft. Marosevic made his MLS debut March 29, 2009 against Chivas USA, subbing on for Jeff Cunningham in the 80th minute. As a rookie, he was part of the 18-man game day roster 15 times. In December, Marosevic joined fellow Generation adidas teammates Bruno Guarda, Eric Avila and Brek Shea on a trip to South Africa.
A regular on the U.S. U-20 and U-18 rosters, Marosevic joined the U.S. U-20 squad for the 2009 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in Trinidad and Tobago last March. He played in four of the five games in the championship, scoring a goal in the opening game of the tournament against Jamaica. Last fall, he joined the U.S. U-20 team for the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt.
FC Dallas is in the midst of a league-wide break for the World Cup and will resume play June 26 at Chivas USA, before returning home July 3 to face Kansas City.
