FCD Academy product Kellyn Acosta continues US 17 residency

By Buzz Carrick

US Soccer has announced the newest crop of players in the US U17 Residency and FCD Academy defenderKellyn Acosta has been invited to keep his place.  Eight of the invitees are new to the US camp, while eight players wil be starting their 4th semester.

Also of interest to FCD fans may be AJ Jeffries out of Chicago Fire Juniors who is the son of former FC Dallas coach Mike Jeffries.  AJ as a very young kid used to hang around practice all the time and showed even at that age some spectacular ball skills.  While he perhaps doens't have the promise of am Emerson Hyndman, AJ Jeffries is proving to be quite a player.

Of note is also local product Alfred Koroma  from Arlington who plays for Solar.
