FCD Reserves fall 1-0 to New England
By Buzz Carrick
In a scrimmage that appears to mostly be reserves, young players, and trialists for the Red Stripes, FCD dropped a 1-0 loss to New England Revolution. Sainey Nyassi scored the loan goal for the Revs on an assist by Zack Schilawski.
Of particular interest to FCD fans might be Moises Hernandez who seems to have become the 2nd choice right back behind Jackson after the Heath Pearce trade. A home gown player, Hernandez has seen a lot of PT this spring. Andrew Wiedeman seems to be fully entrenched at outside back now, it's been a long time since we've seen him play anywhere else. Both played 90 minutes.
Alexis Pradie, Bobby Warshaw, Andrew Jacobson, and Maykel Galindo all also played 90 minutes. It's also nice to see home grown players Bryan Leyva and Victor Ulloa on the sheet.
A name FCD fans may not know is Roberto Lopes, he's an attacking mid or forward in on trial while the team in down in Florida.
