MLS suspends Shalrie Joseph for tackle on Ricardo Villar
Major League Soccer's disciplinary committee this week suspended New England Revolution midfielder Shalrie Joseph for one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for what was deemed a reckless challenge on FC Dallas midfielder Ricardo Villar.
Joseph’s action occurred in the 62nd minute of last Thursday's match between FC Dallas and New England. He will serve his suspension Saturday when the Revolution play D.C. United at Gillette Stadium.
Fines collected will be donated to the charitable partners of MLS W.O.R.K.S. and the MLS Players Union.
