Tuesday tidbits: Oleksiak talks about OHL decision

A couple tidbits for a Tuesday morning as I prepare for a long day of travel back to Texas.

*Dallas Stars prospect Jamie Oleksiak talked to the Saginaw News about his decision to leave Northeastern University and sign with the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League for the 2011-12 season.

“I thought in terms of my development and where I was going and my game personally, I wanted to get more games and play in the OHL, which is similar to the pro level,” Oleksiak told newspaper. “I thought I could kind of get used to the game there.”

Oleksiak, the Stars' first round pick (14th overall) in this summer's draft, signed with Saginaw yesterday.
