Propsect notes: Campbell opens season with shutout

Here are some notes and a statistical update on Dallas Stars prospects playing junior hockey, in Europe and in college.

*Goaltender Jack Campbell (first round/2010) stopped all 28 shots he faced in his first appearance of the season as Windsor defeated fellow Stars prospect Brett Ritchie’s Sarnia Sting, 2-0, Sunday night. It was Campbell’s first regular season OHL shutout.

*On Friday night, Ritchie (second round/2011) had one goal and two assists as Sarnia opened its season with a 5-2 victory over the Erie Otters.

*Defenseman Troy Vance (fifth round/2011) has one goal and a plus-five rating in four games so far this season with Victoriaville of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

*Defenseman John Klingberg (fifth round/2010) has three points (one goal, two assists) in five games with Jokerit of Finland’s SM-Liiga.

*Note: The college season has not yet started.
