Dallas Stars Prospects: Notes and Stats

Here are some notes and a statistical update on Dallas Stars prospects playing junior hockey, in Europe and in college.

*D Jamie Oleksiak (1st round/2011) has three goals, one assist and a plus-six rating in his last seven games for Saginaw of the Ontario Hockey League.

*RW Matej Stransky (6th round/2011) had one goal, two assists and was named the game’s first star as Saskatoon (WHL) defeated Regina Saturday. In 13 games this season Stransky has 15 points (7 goals, 8 assists), ranking second on his team.

*C Emil Molin (4th round/2011) had a hat trick for Brynas (Sweden, Jr.) on Friday. Molin has 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists) and a plus-11 rating in 12 games this season. He is tied for third in the league in scoring.

*F Austin Smith (5th round/2007) had two goals and two assists as Colgate split a pair of games with Niagara over the weekend. Smith now has 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists) in 7 games. He is tied is tied for fifth in the nation in goal scoring (1.00/game).

*RW Alex Chiasson (2nd round/2009) was a healthy scratch for Boston University in a game against UMass on Saturday.

*After some time in Finland’s second tier league and one game in juniors, D John Klingberg (5th round/2010) returned to Jokerit inj Finland’s top league last week. He was injured in his first game back. How long he is out is unclear.
