DALLAS -- The Dallas Stars head into tonight's game against Ottawa at the American Airlines Center in a bit of a funk on the power play. They are 0-20 with the man-advantage over the last eight games.
The power play was a topic of discussion as Stars coach Glen Gulutzan met the media after this morning's skate at the AAC.
"We have to start creating those second chances. We have to shoot the puck and make sure we have guys at the net," Gulutzan said. "But in saying that, Ottawa is fairly aggressive on the penalty kill, so I think it comes down to work. ... We have to keep putting pucks on net, win our battles right from the faceoff to give ourselves a chance to create those secondary chances by getting people and pucks towards the net."
Andrew Raycroft is in goal for the Stars tonight. The only lineup decision the Stars have to is which forward sits out among Krys Barch, Tom Wandell and Jake Dowell and that will be made at game time.
