"We'll probably make it here tonight. I've talked to Joe (Nieuwendyk) and I think there is a good possibility you'll see [Bachman] tomorrow," Gulutzan said. "We went through all of the tape, but haven't had time to chat about it. There's probably a good chance we'll give Bachman an opportunity. He's a guy I am familiar with and he's a guy I have lots of confidence in. He's earned it in our organization. At some point in this road trip we said he was going to get a start, but we just haven't finalized it is going to be tomorrow. You'll see him start a game for sure this trip."
Bachman relieved Andrew Raycroft in last night's 5-2 loss at San Jose, playing the entire final period and stopping all 11 shots he faced. He played a game last season at Phoenix and stopped all four shots he faced in just under a half period of work. When he does get a start on this trip it will his first in the NHL.
