Richard Bachman will get his third straight start when the Dallas Stars take on the New York Islanders Thursday on Long Island. The Stars play Friday at New Jersey, so Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said he and his coaching staff will see what happens Thursday and then deal with the goaltending situation for Friday's game.

"We’ll go with Bacher tomorrow and then we’ll evaluate where we go from there," said Gulutzan. "I think we’re in a situation with two good goalies and performance plays, and then we’ll go from there.”

The Stars will also have Mark Fistric back Thursday now that he has served his three-game suspension for his hit on Islanders forward Nino Niederreiter. Philip Larsen has been playing very well with Fistric out, which leaves the Stars with a tough lineup decision for tomorrow.

"That’s the one we haven’t talked about so much. We talked about it a little bit this morning, and there are options there as far as maybe dressing seven D," Gulutzan said. "We’ll see. We’ll talk with Joe (Nieuwendyk) about it tonight."

The Stars aren't in a position where they have to make a roster move just yet. They can carry the eight defensemen as long as Adam Burish is on IR. Once Burish comes off, which likely will happen next week, they'll have to make a decision on how they'll handle the roster.
