Sunday practice notes: Another start for Richard Bachman

FRISCO -- Richard Bachman will get his fifth straight start when the Dallas Stars host the Anaheim Ducks Monday night at American Airlines Center.

"We're going to give him the game tomorrow and see where it goes after that," said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. "We have no plan long-term. We're just going to give him another game. We feel he's played three strong games and one that even he admits was just OK. Still in that game he made huge saves for us. We'll give him another game and see where it goes."

Bachman is 3-1-0 with a 2.08 goals against average and a .931 save percentage in five appearances for the Stars this season. After winning his first three starts, he suffered his first loss Friday night at New Jersey, allowing six goals on 31 shots.

Injury notes: Burish close to returning

RW Adam Burish, who has missed the last 14 games with a broken hand, practiced with the Stars today. Burish said he feels he is ready to go, but his status for Monday's game is still up in air.

"I wouldn't feel confident right now to comment [on his status], " said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. "Bur looked pretty good in my mind out there, but we've got to see where he's at. I don't know that yet. I just know that he was a practice player and he looked pretty good today. You know Bur, he'll be hounding everybody here. We're going to have the same protocol as we've had with all of our players, we're not putting them in there until they are game ready and they can help us."

Right wing Tomas Vincour did not practice today. He is expected to miss one to week weeks with an MCL injury. He was injured in Thursday's game at the New York Islanders.

Defenseman Philip Larsen, who was injured in Friday's game against New Jersey, is day-to-day with a quad contusion.

"They are not overly worried, but he is going to be out a day or two," Gulutzan said of Larsen.
