DALLAS -- Stars forward Jamie Benn, who has missed the last five games with a leg injury, will not play in Sunday's game against the Vancouver Canucks.

"He's day-to-day. He won't be a player Sunday," Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said. "We're hoping Wednesday (vs. Pittsburgh) but best case scenario may even be that Friday (at Edmonton)."

Benn was injured February 16 when was cut on the leg by a skate in a game against Calgary.

Larsen leaves Friday's after getting hit in head with puck

Stars defenseman Philip Larsen suffered a cut on his head after he was hit by a puck in Friday's game against Minnesota. With the Stars on the penalty kill late in the second period Larsen was in the slot when he was hit by a puck off the stick of Wild forward Matt Cullen.

"He's got a cut on his head. It cracked his helmet open and we'll see how he is tomorrow," Gulutzan said. "He seems OK, but we want to make sure and see how he is tomorrow."
