DALLAS -- Scott Glennie and Brenden Dillon, who will make their NHL debuts tonight, skated with the Dallas Stars this morning at American Airlines Center.

Glennie is one of four first round picks from 2009 that has yet to play in an NHL game. He'll take his name off that list tonight.

“I think everyone has got to do their time," said Glennie. "A lot of guys get up here pretty quick, but it was a fun year in the American League. It didn’t go the way we wanted it to, but now I am up here. I am really excited, a little nervous but I am looking forward to get things going here.”

The 21-year-old is expected to play right wing on a line with Loui Eriksson and Tom Wandell. Glennie, who got off a slow start this season in the AHL because of a concussion, has picked up 28 points (nine goals, 19 assists) over the past 43 games with the Texas Stars.

"It was bit a slow start with the injury, but the second half went pretty well for myself. I got my feet underneath and had a lot of guys help me out," Glennie said. "It was just getting used to the game. It took a while to get used to the pace and how fast and how big guys are. I think I am used to that now."

Dillon, a free agent signing out of the WHL last year, is a big, mobile two-way defenseman. He has 26 points (5 goals, 21 assists) in 72 games with the Texas Stars.

“A little bit of nervousness, but excited and ready to go," said Dillon. "I’ve been waiting my whole life to get to the NHL and to get a crack at it."

The 21-year-old Dillon will be paired with Trevor Daley on defense. He sees it as a good opportunity to show that he ready to push for a roster spot next season.

“Any time you come up and get a chance to play you want to put your best foot forward," he said. "It kind of sucks to be in the situation we’re in, but it is what it is. We’re going to try to end on a positive note and get two points.”

Several Dallas veterans will sit out tonight's game, some due to injury issues. Among those not playing: Steve Ott, Mike Ribeiro, Stephane Robidas, Sheldon Souray, Radek Dvorak, Toby Petersen and Jake Dowell.

Richard Bachman is in goal for the Stars.
