A Dallas Stars official confirmed tonight that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defenseman Brad Lukowich. It's a two-way deal that will pay him $1 million at the NHL level and $275,000 at the AHL level. An announcement on the signing is expected Friday.

The former Star was with Vancouver last season and played 29 games with the Texas Stars after the Canucks sent him to the AHL early in the season.

Lukowich, who will turn 34 next month, played for the Dallas Stars from 1997-2002, appearing in 224 games and registering 29 points (9 goals, 20 assists). He played in eight playoff games when the Stars won the Stanley Cup in 1999.

The Stars are also expected to announce Friday that they have signed restricted free agent defensemen Maxime Fortunus and Trevor Ludwig.
