Two periods are in the book at the AAC and the Dallas Stars trail the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0.

Tampa Bay's goal came at 6:31 of the period, Ryan Malone put the puck on net off the rush and Dominic Moore tipped it past Andrew Raycroft.

Aaron Gagnon, who has played well tonight for the Stars, had a couple of good scoring chances but Tampa Bay's Dan Ellis came up with nice saves on both. Ellis has been very sharp in this game.

The Stars switched goaltenders midway through the period. Raycroft came out after stopping 16 of 18 shots. In came Brent Krahn, who stopped four of four so far.

One fight in the period, bringing it to a total of four in the period. This one involved Francis Wathier and Scott Jackson. It was Wathier's second fight of the night. Both have come immediately after Tampa Bay scored.

Tampa Bay outshot the Stars 12-5 in the period and has a 22-12 advantage for the game.
