Stars fall 4-2 to Tampa Bay

The Dallas Stars lost 4-2 to the Tampa Bay Lightning at the American Airlines Center in the preseason opener for both teams.

Aaron Gagnon scored at 1:19 of the period to make it a 2-1 game. Gagnon made a great move to get by Tampa Bay's Mathieu Roy and then beat Dan Ellis shortside with a nice backhand shot.

Adam Hall scored his second of the game at the 3:31 mark to give Tampa Bay a 3-1 lead.

Philip Larsen finished off a three-on-two rush to at the 7:17 mark to make it 3-2, but Tampa's Mattias Ohlund answered midway through the period to finish off the scoring on the night. Tomas Vincour and Gagnon had the assists on the goal. It was Vincour's second helper of the night.
