Goaltender Brent Krahn cleared waivers this morning and will now head to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League. Krahn lost out to Andrew Raycroft in the battle for the backup goaltending position in Dallas.

"I know that's the closest [Brent's] ever been to an NHL job, but a lot of times with goaltenders it takes a little bit of time," said Stars coach Marc Crawford. "We believe there are not many seasons where you go through with only two goaltenders and he's a very good option for us."

The Stars now have 27 players on the roster, including 16 forwards, 9 defensemen and 2 goaltenders.
