The Stars announced today that center Warren Peters has been sent to the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary AHL affiliate. It's another sign that Mike Ribeiro could be ready to play in Chicago on Tuesday, though the team has not made that decision yet.

Peters has skated in 11 games this season with a goal and a plus-1 rating. The 27-year-old has 19 points, 13 of them goals, in 34 games for Texas this season. The Stars signed him as a free agent on July 6, 2009.

Ribeiro was hit in the throat by a stick on Jan. 6 and was treated for swelling. He's been rehabbing and has skated with the team in the last few practices and morning skates. He said Saturday that he was hopeful he could play Tuesday in Chicago. He wants to get in a few games before the Olympic break. The Stars have three games before that two-week hiatus starts next week.
