The past week
The Texas Stars went 0-2-0 over the past week. The Stars are now 21-13-4 and are in fourth place in the AHL’s West Division based both on points and points percentage.
In San Antonio on Friday, Fabian Brunnstrom ran his goal scoring streak to four games when he tallied 4:20 into the game to give Texas a 1-0 lead. But San Antonio scored five unanswered goals the rest of the way to beat Texas 5-1, ending the Stars’ seven-game points streak. Richard Bachman made 17 saves.
Saturday at Cedar Park Center, Lake Erie scored early in the second and two more times in the third period to build a 3-0 lead on the Stars. Aaron Gagnon scored with 2:40 remaining to make it a 3-1 final score. Bachman stopped 26 of 29 shots.
The Stars hit the road this week for three games.

The Idaho Steelheads went 2-2-0 this past week and are 15-15-7 on the season. The Steelheads currently rank third in the Mountain Division and fifth in the Western Conference. LW Michael Neal picked up three assists in four games last week.
