Tuesday practice/injury update

DALLAS -- The Dallas Stars practiced this morning at American Airlines Center, where they had team pictures taken and then hit the ice.

Here are some of the more notable items from today's practice.

Defenseman Brad Lukowich cleared re-entry waivers, was called up from the Texas Stars of the AHL and joined the team for this morning's practice.

He should be in the lineup tomorrow because of injuries to Nicklas Grossman and Karlis Skrastins.

Stars coach Marc Crawford said today that Grossman has a knee sprain.

"It's not the worst one, but it is significant. He'll be out for a bit," Crawford said. "I don't know quite how long, but we did get good news that it isn't the worst kind. It's not the anterior, it's medial and those heal a little bit quicker."

As for Skrastins, who suffered a cut on his thigh in Satuday's game against Philadelphia, he is doubtful for tomorrow. Crawford did say Skrastins could play this weekend.

Loui Eriksson (concussion) went through full practice today, looked good and is still day-to-day, according to Crawford.

"Loui looks like he is heading in the right direction," said Crawford. "Again, we want to be cautious with that. It's a day to day thing and we'll see where he is tomorrow."

Adam Burish (leg) is improving and will be seeing doctors tomorrow.

Brian Sutherby (back spasms) is out for tomorrow's game.

Kari Lehtonen will start in goal tomorrow.
