Loui Eriksson plays as Sweden tops France
By Mark Stepneski
Stars forward Loui Eriksson was in the lineup Friday as Sweden defeated France at the World Championship in Slovakia, 4-0.
Eriksson, whose status for the game was up in the air because of a groin injury suffered Wednesday, logged 19:58 of ice time. He had no points, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating.
Stars defenseman Nicklas Grossman missed his second straight game with a knee injury. He is listed as day-to-day and is a possibility to play Sunday against Switzerland.
Stars prospect Jack Campbell was the third goaltender for Team USA, which lost 4-3 in a shootout to Canada on Friday. The U.S. plays France on Saturday.
