Loui Eriksson, Sweden advance at Worlds

Dallas Stars forward Loui Eriksson scored one goal as Sweden beat Germany on Wednesday, 5-2, to advance to the semifinals at the World Championship in Slovakia.
The Swedes will play Czech Republic on Friday for the right to play in Sunday’s gold medal game.
Eriksson, who had three shots and a plus-2 rating Wednesday, scored off a rebound in the second period to give the Swedes a 4-1 lead. Eriksson has three goals, one assist and a plus-6 rating in seven tournament games.
Stars goaltending prospect Jack Campbell dressed for the first time in the tournament Wednesday, serving as a backup to Ty Conklin in Team USA’s 4-0 loss to Czech Republic.
Jaromir Jagr scored three goals and Ondrej Pavelec stopped 29 shots for the Czechs, who are the defending champions.
The quarterfinals continue Thursday with Finland taking on Norway and Canada playing Russia.
