Texas Stars Report

The past week
The Texas Stars were 0-2-1 over the past week and are now 6-7-1 on the season. They are currently fourth in the West Division.
The Stars opened the week with a 3-2 shootout loss to the Abbotsford Heat at Cedar Park on Friday. Texas built a 2-0 lead on goals by Matt Fraser and Ray Sawada, but the Heat rallied to tie by scoring with 4:04 and 0:47 remaining in regulation. The Heat then scored on three of four shots on in the shootout against Richard Bachman while Tomas Vincour, Ryan Garbutt and Fraser failed to score for the Stars.
On Saturday, the Stars lost 3-1 to the Heat in Cedar Park. Jordie Benn scored the lone goal for Texas. Tyler Beskorowany got the start in goal and stopped 37 of 40 shots.
On Sunday the Stars traveled to San Antonio, where they lost to the Rampage by a 3-2 score. Francis Wathier and Tomas Vincour scored for Texas. Bachman made 25 saves.

The Idaho Steelheads went 2-0-2 over the past week and are now 5-7-2 on the season. Michael Neal had two goals, one assist and a plus-three rating in a 4-2 victory over Bakersfield.
