About the Stars
The Stars (18-12-1) had a three-game winning streak snapped with a 6-3 loss at New Jersey Friday night. The game wrapped up a five-game road trip that saw the Stars pick up six of ten points (3-2-0).
“I think we had a pretty good road trip, but tonight was a little disappointing,” Stars forward Michael Ryder said. “It happens, but we’ve got to learn from it, move on and get ready for our next game.”
Richard Bachman, who stopped 25 of 31 shots in Friday’s game and suffered his first defeat in four NHL starts, will get the nod in goal for Monday’s game against the Ducks.
Injuries: RW Adam Burish (broken hand) is questionable. D Philip Larsen (quad contusion), Tomas Vincour (knee) and G Kari Lehtonen (groin) are out.
About the Ducks
The Ducks (9-18-5) lost 5-3 at Winnipeg Saturday night. It was the fourth loss in the last five games for the Ducks and stretched their road winless streak to 11 games (0-8-3).
“It seems to me that every time when we do mistakes, it's in our own net,” Ducks forward Teemu Selanne told the Orange County Register. “Tonight was the same story again. It has been a very frustrating year.”
Anaheim’s last win on the road was October 27 at Minnesota.
Injuries: C Saku Koivu (groin), LW Jason Blake (wrist) and D Matt Smaby (thumb) are out.
