Philip Larsen day-to-day; Sheldon Souray, Radek Dvorak out Friday
By Mark Stepneski
Stars defenseman Philip Larsen is day-to-day after suffering a lower body injury in Wednesday’s 5-2 loss at Winnipeg.
Larsen went feet first into the end boards as he was defending Jets forward Blake Wheeler, who was skating behind the Dallas net. Larsen was down on the ice for a while and then was helped to the locker room. He returned late in the second period, took one shift but didn’t return for the third period.
“I don’t think Larsen will be too bad,” Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said. “We’ll see. He’ll be a day-to-day.”
Stars defenseman Sheldon Souray missed his third straight game with a lower body injury Wednesday night. Radek Dvorak missed his second straight game with an ankle injury. Both players are out for Friday’s game against Chicago, according to Gulutzan.
“They won’t be game players for Friday,” Gulutzan said.
Stars captain Brenden Morrow, who was dinged up late in the game when was hit in front of the Winnipeg net, was fine, according to Gulutzan.
