Texas Stars must win two on road for title
By Richard Durrett
The Texas Stars fell, 2-1 in overtime, in Game 5 of the Calder Cup Finals on Friday. After winning the first two games of the series on the road, the Stars dropped all three home contests and are behind 3-2 in the series heading back to Hershey for Games 6 and 7.
One thing about this Texas Stars team: They beat Hamilton in Games 6 and 7 on the road to advance to the Calder Cup Finals. So they have already accomplished that difficult feat this playoff run. Can they do it again?
Texas could have won either of the last two games, close contests decided by key plays late. It's not as if they are being vastly outplayed all of a sudden. But they'll need to rally in a hurry. Game 6 is Monday in Hershey.
