Tyler Beskorowany makes AHL debut
By Mark Stepneski
Tyler Beskorowany made his AHL debut for the Texas Stars today, stopping 27 of 30 shots in a 4-2 loss at Houston. Beskorowany played well in the game, in which Houston took a 3-2 lead with 1:39 remaining.
Beskorowany was called up last week from Idaho of the ECHL due to an injury to Brent Krahn. The official word from the Texas Stars is that Krahn is day-to-day with a lower body injury.
Prior to Beskorowany starting today, Richard Bachman had started the three previous games. He won all three, stopped 87 of 90 shots and had a 26-save shutout in a 2-0 victory over Milwaukee last night.
A couple of other notes from today's game against Houston. Forward Tomas Vincour left the game in the first period and did not return after taking an elbow from Houston's Colton Gillies. Defenseman Severin Blindenbacher scored his first AHL goal in the game.
Texas is now 10-7-0-0 on the season.
