Tuesday practice update

By Mark Stepneski

A few notes from Tuesday afternoon's practice in Frisco.

Kari Lehtonen, Brad Richards and Karlis Skrastins did not skate. They all had maintenance days.

Krys Barch, who has been out with a bruised foot, did practice and is ready to go, according to Stars coach Marc Crawford.

Mark Fistric, who is on injured reserve with a groin injury, skated on his own prior to practice.

"He doesn't look like he'll be ready immediately. He says he feels better and we'll see where he is tomorrow," Crawford said. "Once you see him practicing with the group that's the step in the right direction that we're looking for."

The Stars sent defenseman Severin Blindenbacher, who was called up last week due to the Fistric injury, back to the Texas Stars, who play tonight. If Fistric isn't ready for Thursday' game against Washington, the Stars may recall somebody as insurance.
