The Stars (21-10-3) took over first place in the Western Conference after defeating the Montreal Canadiens 5-2 at American Airlines Center Tuesday night. Adam Burish, Jamie Benn, Karlis Skrastins, Brad Richards and Loui Eriksson scored goals for the Stars, who are 11-2-2 in their last 15 games overall. Kari Lehtonen stopped 27 of 29 shots.
