Campbell, USA advance to semis at World Juniors

Stars goaltending prospect Jack Campbell stopped 25 of 26 shots as Team USA beat Switzerland 2-1 Friday night to win Group A with a 4-0 record at the World Junior Championship in Buffalo, New York.
Campbell improved to 4-0-0 and leads the tournament in both goals against average (1.03) and save percentage (.957).
Team USA has earned an automatic berth in the semifinals against the winner of the quarterfinals matchup between Canada and Switzerland.
Stars defense prospect Patrik Nemeth picked up an assist as Sweden (4-0) stunned Canada 6-5 in a shootout to take first place in Group B and earn an automatic berth in the tournament semifinals. Nemeth also was a plus-two in the game. Stars defense prospect John Klingberg had no points and was a plus-one for the Swedes, who will play the winner of the quarterfinals game between Russia and Finland.
The quarterfinals of the tournament will be held Sunday and the semifinals are scheduled for Monday.
