Dallas Stars Prospects: Notes and Stats

Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, college and Europe.
*RW Reilly Smith scored two goals and had one assist as Miami University beat Michigan 3-0 Saturday to complete a two-game sweep of a weekend series with the Wolverines. Smith now has 21 goals in 29 games this season. He ranks fifth in the nation in goal scoring at .72 goals per game.
*RW Alex Chiasson’s Boston University team lost 3-2 to Boston College in the Beanpot Tournament Monday night. Chiasson had no points in the game, but the leading scorer for BU some media attention heading into the tournament. The Boston Herald had a feature on him, which you can read here. *LW Matt Fraser (Kootenay/WHL) has scored goals in his last four games played and has 14 goals over his 16 games. Fraser has 24 goals and 28 assists in 48 games so far this season.
*G Jack Campbell snapped a four-game personal winless streak (0-1-3) by stopping 31 of 32 shots in a 7-1 win over Brampton on Sunday. Campbell lost his bid for his first OHL shutout when Brampton scored with 43 seconds remaining in the game. Campbell is now 17-11-3 on the season with a 3.86 goals against average and a .886 save percentage.
*D Alex Theriau (Medicine Hat/WHL) is day-to-day with an ankle injury.
*D Mike Bergin (RPI) is currently out with a cut on his leg. He could return this weekend.
