Stars expect at least one injured forward back Thursday
By Mark Stepneski
The Dallas Stars will be getting at least one more injured player back tomorrow night, possibly two when they play at Detroit.
"Adam Burish looks like he is going to be very close to playing tomorrow night as does Krys Barch," said Stars coach Marc Crawford. "We've sent Aaron Gagnon back down to Austin, so that's a signal that one of those guys will be ready and were hopeful that both will."
Both Burish and Barch suffered fractured orbital bones in Boston on February 3 and have missed the last eight games.
Burish said he is excited about possibly getting back in the lineup.
"When you are gone for two weeks it is fun to just practice," Burish said. "My first practice two days ago felt like a game day to me. For tomorrow, I am fired up. Feels like back at school for the first day. It will be fun and hopefully I can bring some energy and some and some life back to this group and some excitement. That will be my approach tomorrow."
Brad Richards (concussion-like symptoms) and Nicklas Grossman (hip) remain out.
"Grossman is improving, but is not ready to play. He will not accompany us on the trip nor will Brad Richards," Crawford said. "Both of them are in the improving category, but not ready to be options for us."
Kari Lehtonen will get the start in goal for the Stars Thursday against Detroit.
