Dallas Stars Prospects: Scott Glennie joins Texas Stars

Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, college and Europe.
*F Scott Glennie has wrapped up his junior career and has joined the Texas Stars of the AHL, signing an ATO with the club today. Glennie’s Brandon Wheat Kings were eliminated from the WHL playoffs by the Medicine Hat Tigers on Monday. Glennie, Dallas' first round pick (8th overall) in 2009, ended up with 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) in the six game series. The Texas Stars have four games remaining in the regular season, including a game tonight in Peoria. Texas can clinch a playoff spot with a regulation or overtime win.
*D Jace Coye (Medicine Hat/WHL) had 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) and a plus-seven rating in the six-game series against Glennie and Brandon. Coyle currently leads all WHL defensemen in playoff scoring. His plus-seven rating is tied for second among all players in the WHL playoffs. Medicine Hat plays Red Deer in round two.
*D Alex Theriau (Medicine Hat/WHL) had 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) in the six games against Brandon.
*LW Matt Fraser had 5 goals and 2 assists in six games as Kootenay topped Moose Jaw in the first round of the WHL playoffs. Fraser is tied for the goal scoring lead in the WHL playoffs.
*G Jack Campbell and the Windsor Spitfires advanced to the second round of the playoffs Tuesday with a 5-4 win over Erie in Game 7 of their first round series. Campbell stopped 25 of 29 shots in the deciding game. He is 4-3-0 with a 3.50 goals against average and a .898 save percentage in the playoffs so far. The Spitfires play Saginaw in round two.
*D Hubert Labrie had 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) as Gatineau defeated Rimouski 4-1 in the first round of the QMJHL playoffs. Gatineau takes on Drummondville in the second round.
*D Patrik Nemeth (AIK/Sweden) ended up with no points in a total of seven playoff games as AIK lost to Farjestads in the second round of the playoffs.
*D John Klingberg (Frolunda, Jr.) has 8 points (0 goals, 8 assists) and a plus-7 rating in five playoff games. His junior team opens the semifinal round of the playoffs this week against HV 71.
