Saturday morning tidbits

2/5/2011

There is some history between Stars forward Adam Burish and Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger dating to last season's Stanley Cup Final, when Burish was a Blackhawk. Tonight's Stars-Flyers game would have been the first time Burish and Pronger were on the ice together since then, but it won't happen now that Burish is back in Dallas with an injury. It's still a story in the Philadelphia media, and you can read it here in Courier-Post.

There was plenty of stuff out of Boston in the aftermath of Daniel Paille's four-game suspension for the hit on Ray Sawada on Thursday night.

Paille was surprised at the length of the suspension and told his side of the story here at ESPNBoston.com.

Bruins coach Claude Julien said he thinks some of the responsibility lies with the players getting hit. Again, the story from ESPNBoston.com.

Boston defenseman Andrew Ference said after the game that Paille's hit looked like a bad one and that teams can't have it both ways -- saying it's bad when it's your guy gets hit and then having to defend it when your guy does the hitting. That apparently didn't go over too well with Paille, according to The Bruins Blog.
